Trane Air Conditioner FAQs

How long does a Trane condenser last?

A Trane condenser can generally last up to 10 years. If you maintain it properly and get timely checkups, it can serve you for over 15 years without any headaches.

How long does the installation take?

The installation time can vary depending on your selected unit and its compatibility with your existing system. However, most installations are completed within 4-8 hours by our expert technicians.

Will your condensers work with my existing thermostat?

Most Trane condensers are compatible with common thermostats. If that is not the case, we’ll confirm it during your free assessment.

Do you offer emergency installations?

Yes, HVAC Services Pro delivers emergency installation. Call (866)879-8122 to find out if you are in the coverage area.

What is the “Spine Fin™ Coil” and why is it better than a standard radiator-style coil?

The Spine Fin Coil is Trane’s outdoor coil design. Traditional coils are flat and have radiator-style fins. These fin coils have thousands of tiny, hair-like aluminum spines on the tubing. It’s a superior choice because it has more surface area, durability, and a longer lifespan. Dirt and debris don’t easily clog it either, so you don’t need any fin combing.

Can I use my old R-410A indoor unit with these new R-454B condensers?

It’s not recommended. Using an old R-410A unit with a new R-454B will have reduced efficiency, poor oil return, higher failure risk, and voided manufacturer warranty.

Why is Trane using R-454B, and will it be expensive to refill?

Trane uses R-454B because it is a next-generation, environmentally responsible refrigerant that meets current and future EPA regulations.
